I'm a teacher, researcher, creator, education leader, and writing pusher. I study digital literacy and composing. I direct digital humanities initiatives at UNC-Chapel Hill. And I practice scholarship not about but through the screen.

On this site, you will find artifacts of my research, teaching, leadership, and creative activities. Many of these items are videos or other media pieces. If you have trouble accessing any information, please use the contact link to get in touch. Browse and scroll to learn more

Putting digital transformation into practice creates new modes of sharing knowledge. Sounds, images, and words recast scholarship in immersive, open ways.

What happens when you bring lab-like approaches into the humanities? What evolutions and revolutions are possible as texts, culture, and research go digital?

Course development, assessment, program design, and teaching practice are part of a learning philosophy that features collaboration, risk taking, creativity, and authenticity
